The Italian Ambassador to Romania, Alfredo Durante Mangoni, met with the Minister for Social Solidarity, Simona Bucura Oprescu, to whom he announced the first Italian-Romanian working meeting on vocational training and workforce skills to be held in Bucharest. During the meeting, the ambassador emphasised the important contribution of Italian NGOs in Romania in the field of protecting minors and vulnerable people. Mr. Mangoni and the minister also addressed the issue of a review of bilateral agreements and instruments on work, family and youth, as well as the protection of Romanian workers in Italy and their pension files. The ambassador then met with the Romanian Minister of Education, Daniel David, in order to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the field of education and scientific research. The renewal of the memorandum of understanding on the functioning of bilingual Italian-Romanian sections in Romanian schools was also discussed.
