This was written on X by the Italian Ambassador in Baghdad Niccolò Fontana after his meeting with the Secretary General of the Atlantic Alliance Mark Rutte, on a mission to Iraq between yesterday and today, and other senior officials of the body.
"With Rutte, General Cavoli (Saceur) and Goffus (Asg) we had a very productive and friendly meeting, together with the NATO ambassadors in Iraq, to discuss security developments in the region. NATO remains committed to supporting a stable and sovereign Iraq,' stressed the Italian Embassy in Baghdad.
