The concert of the Virtuosi del Teatro alla Scala of Milan entitled 'From Gioachino Rossini to Nino Rota: 150 Years of Italian Music' will be held this evening at 8 p.m.
in the Great Hall of the Ilija M.
Kolarac Foundation in Belgrade. Twenty musicians will perform music by Rossini, Verdi, Respighi, Mascagni and Rota, conducted by Maestro Massimiliano Caldi. The concert is organised by the Italian Embassy in Belgrade and the Italian Cultural Institute in Belgrade in cooperation with the Ilija M. Kolarac Foundation.
The Virtuosi del Teatro alla Scala are a well-established group of musicians belonging to the Orchestra del Teatro alla Scala and the Filarmonica della Scala who felt the need to make music together in order to share the artistic experience gained over decades of working with some of the world's most famous conductors. Their institutional aim is to make Italian instrumental and virtuosic music known.
