The Ambassador of Italy in Bratislava, Gianclemente De Felice, had two separate meetings with the Slovak Foreign Minister, Jurai Blanar, and the Minister of Culture, Martina Šimkovičová.
The ambassador was received by Foreign Minister Jurai Blanar a few days after his mission to Rome to attend the ministerial meeting of the group of 'Friends of the Balkans' countries. He discussed with the minister a number of possible opportunities for strengthening the positive bilateral partnership, particularly in the fields of energy, trade, research, but also culture and education. Italy and Slovakia are united by a sincere and solid friendship, which is a prerequisite for a qualitative leap in our cooperation, both bilaterally and in the multilateral sphere.
Within the framework of contacts with members of the Slovakian executive, the ambassador was also received by the Minister of Culture Martina Šimkovičová. During the cordial conversation, the prospects of the bilateral sector partnership were discussed, with particular reference to cooperation in the fields of museums, art, music and opera, architecture and film. The minister also introduced the initiatives underway to raise children's awareness of art and literature, and hoped for a consolidation of cooperation with Italy. Finally, the next initiatives in the cultural sector to be implemented in Bratislava were presented.
