The Italian Ambassador in Ottawa, Alessandro Cattaneo, accompanied a delegation of Canadian parliamentarians on a visit to Leonardo's headquarters in Halifax. The visit was also attended by the President of the Aerospace Industries Association of Canada, Mike Mueller. The guests were welcomed by the company's top management, including the President of Leonardo Canada, Francesco Norante, and Alessandra Cereseto, Business Development Leonardo Canada.
Leonardo is among the top ten operators in the mendo in the space and defence sector and the company is strongly committed to developing innovation and expertise in Canada where it collaborates with Canadian Forces and other companies. Leonardo's activities range from aeronautics to air traffic control, defence systems, cyber security and automation, with a focus on solutions for airports and postal and courier operators.
The visit provided an opportunity to review Leonardo's strategies and prospects for continuing to invest in the aerospace and defence sectors in Canada and create high quality job opportunities.
