Italian wines linked to the territories and cuisine of the roots in a country, Ecuador, that has always boasted a special bond with Italy thanks to an ancient and consolidated community. The scientific, sporting and social dimension of the Mediterranean Diet as a lifestyle, before being a dietary regime, for a complete approach benefiting the broader wellbeing of the person.
These are the main themes of the two events that the Italian Embassy in Quito, in collaboration with the ICE Office in Bogotá, will organise for the IX Week of Italian Cuisine in the World starting on 19 November.
The extraordinary participation of Italian chef Antonio Danise, Executive Chef of Villa Necchia alla Portalupa, training manager of the Italian National Chefs' Association and cookery teacher at the 'Ciro Pollini' hotel school in Mortara (PV), is expected.
According to Ambassador Giovanni Davoli, "the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World, now in its ninth edition, is the culmination of the intense activity that the Embassy conducts in support of the Italian food sector, which boasts a long tradition of production and consolidated knowledge that has been handed down for generations".
"Thanks to ICE-Agenzia, the Chamber system, and all the articulations of Italianism in Ecuador, this year we are offering our audience of sector operators and lovers of authentic Italian products a programme of the highest calibre, with the contribution of a talented Italian chef as part of the fruitful collaboration initiated between the Italian Federation of Chefs and the Farnesina," he added.
