In the framework of the 9th edition of the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World, the Italian Embassy in San Salvador has organised a series of activities and events with the participation of Italian chef Gionata Fama.
The activities, reads a note, will be implemented in collaboration with both institutional partners, such as the Salvadoran Ministry of Tourism, Onu Mujeres and the World Food Programme (Wfp), and the local economic fabric, such as Banco Cuscatlan.
The initiative also involves civil society, included in social projects promoted by Un Women and financed by the Italian Development Cooperation Agency, thus strengthening the link between cultures through gastronomy and supporting social inclusion.
Before the inauguration of the Scim, a press conference will be held on Monday 18 November, during which the entire programme will be presented. The initiative will then kick off on Tuesday 19 with a dinner at the residence of the ambassador, Paolo Emanuele Rozo Sordini, which will be attended by local government dignitaries and members of the diplomatic corps accredited in the country.
Among the events scheduled during Culinary Week are a tasting prepared by Chef Fama at the Hilton Hotel in San Salvador and a masterclass organised in collaboration with the Wfp and the local Ministry of Tourism.
