The Italian ambassador to Tunisia, Alessandro Prunas, expressed "great satisfaction at the success and positive follow-up of the many cooperation projects launched for the benefit of the local community of farmers and fishermen," during a visit to the Tunisian island of Djerba, in the south of the country, where he inspected the mobile fishing bridges built as part of the Nemo Kantara project, financed by the Italian Cooperation with the aim of improving the resilience of coastal communities through integrated and sustainable management of natural resources and participation in local development. This was written by the Italian Embassy in Tunisia on X, also giving an account of the meeting between Prunas and the governor of Medenine, Said Ben Zayed, focused "on the future potential of the strong Tunisia-Italy partnership in the fields of agriculture, fishing, energy and handicrafts.
Prunas and Consul Anna Veronica Gianasso, accompanied by the president of Comites Tunisia, Sandro Fratini, also met with the Italian community residing in Djerba, discussing 'dialogue with the offices, digitalisation and participatory commitment to improve the effectiveness of consular services'.
