Remembering and celebrating the figures of Massimo Troisi and Nino Manfredi on the anniversary of their deaths was one of several initiatives launched by the Italian Consular Agency of Lomas de Zamora, in the province of Buenos Aires, to mark Republic Day.
"It was an initiative conceived and sponsored by the Consular Agency to celebrate two internationally renowned Italian actors and filmmakers and, more generally, to promote our country's culture in Argentina," Consular Agent Massimo Palozzi said in a note.
For the occasion, the note continued, the delegation of the 'Dante Alighieri' Society of Lomas de Zamora outlined the figure of Troisi, while the one from Lanus presented the biography of Manfredi. Both set up, with the support of the Consular Agency, a double photo exhibition open to guests of the festival.
