Mexican actor, director and producer
Gael Garcia Bernal is to chair the Rome film festival jury,
organizers said Wednesday.
Bernal will be flanked by British director Sarah Gavron, Finnish
screenwriter and poet Mikko Myllylahti, French actor and
director Melvil Poupaud and Italian director Jasmine Trinca,
said artistic director Paola Malanga, Fondazione Cinema per Roma
President Gian Luca Farinelli, and General Manager Francesca
Via.
They will assign all the major awards including the Monica Vitti
Award for best actress and the Vittorio Gassman gong for best
actor.
Italian director Paolo Virzì will chair another jury that will
award the best first work prize.
