Neapolitan director Mario Martone's new Naples-based film 'Nostalgia' got nine minutes of applause after it debuted at the Cannes Film Festival Tuesday night.
The film, adapted from Ermanno Rea's novel of the same name and
starring Pierfrancesco Favino as a man who returns to Naples
after 45 years in Africa and the Middle East to find an old
friend has become a criminal, goes on show across Italy from
Wednesday.
Taking a bow in Cannes were Favino and other cast members
including Francesco Di Leva and Sofia Essaidi.
