Italian artist Carol Rama
has died at the age of 97, ANSA sources said on Friday. The
eccentric painter's career stretched from the 1930s until 2005
and she was friends with many celebrated fellow artists,
including Edoardo Sanguineti, Carlo Mollino, Massimo Mila,
Francesco Casorati, Man Ray and Andy Warhol. She received the
Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement at the Venice Biennale in
2003.
