A 32-year-old woman was raped for
five days in an abandoned building in Mestre near Venice this
week, police said after arresting the 32-year-old suspected
rapist on Thursday, according to local newspapers.
The woman managed to escape and was treated in hospital where
doctors found traces of the sexual violence, the papers said.
The alleged rapes took place in a building that has been
abandoned for over 10 years and has become a refuge for drug
addicts, pushers and street people.
