Kering's Gucci on Thursday announced
in a statement that it was parting ways with its creative
director Sabato De Sarno.
The Fall-Winter 2025 fashion show in Milan on February 25 will
be presented by the Gucci design office, according to the note.
Gucci said the new artistic direction will be announced in due
time.
Stefano Cantino, CEO of Gucci, expressed his "deep gratitude to
Sabato for his passion and dedication to Gucci.
"I sincerely appreciate how he honoured Gucci's craftsmanship
and heritage with such commitment", he added.
Francesca Bellettini, Kering Deputy CEO in charge of Brand
Development, also thanked De Sarno for "his loyalty and
professionalism".
De Sarno took the helm as Gucci's design chief in 2023.
He replaced Alessandro Michele, a leading personality of the
fashion industry and now Valentino's creative director.
