The Amerigo Vespucci's 'Mediterranean Tour' will take events, initiatives and surprises to the coasts of Italy's regions, going from Trieste to Genoa.
The official presentation of the various stages of the 'return home' of the Italian Navy's training ship, which since July 2023 has been on its second world tour, is being hosted on Monday via streaming on the ansa.it website.
Defence Minister Guido Crosetto, Navy Chief of Staff Admiral Enrico Credendino and Difesa Servizi CEO Luca Andreoli will announce the upcoming travels of the tall ship at Villaggio Italia in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, where it is preparing to return to the Mediterranean.
The commander of the Navy's schools, Admiral Antonio Natale, will also take part in the event, which is scheduled for 14:45 to 15:45 Italian time, along with Barcolana President Grignano Mitja Gialuz and Rai's Licence Fee and Institutional Agreements Director Roberto Ferrara.
In March Trieste will host a special Barcolana to welcome back the Amerigo Vespucci after its tour taking in five continents and over 43,000 miles.
