A 75-year-old Italian nun died in
hospital in Rome Monday of injuries sustained when she was hit
by a car in the centre of the Italian capital on Saturday.
Sister Flora Di Guglielmo, from a small town near Latina south
of Rome, was in Rome shopping when she was hit in Largo
Brancaccio, in the Merulana area, by a car driven by a
55-year-old Filippino who stopped to offer assistance and who
tested negative for blood alcohol.
Di Guglielmo's fellow nuns at the community of the Suore
Adoratrici del Preziosissimo Sangue are in mourning.
