The path of justice may still be long,
but it is important that the trucker who allegedly ran over and
killed Davide Rebellin on 30 November in Montebello Vicentino
near Vicenza be arrested and extradited to Italy so he can be
judged for his actions, the former cycling champion's wife
Françoise Marie said on Thursday.
"The important thing is that the person who killed my husband,
standing by immediately after the tragedy without calling for
help, running away and never expressing a single word of apology
or remorse, be arrested and judged for what he did," said Marie
after a German court rued that Wolfgang Rieke could be
extradited to Italy to stand trial.
