The Naples Camorra mafia killed and
dissolved in acid a man who had threatened the honour of a mob
boss and his son by having an affair with the boss's
daughter-in-law 10 years ago, Carabinieri said Wednesday after
arresting the three suspected killers and solving the cold case.
Salvatore Esposito was lured to a trap in the Naples home of one
of the three on a pretext in 2013, then taken to a local quarry,
shot dead and his body destroyed, Carabinieri said.
The motive for the murder, they said, was that he was
threatening the honour of the son of clan chief Gennaro
Licciardi aka The Monkey by his affair with the boss's
daughter-in-law, they said.
Esposito's affair had besmirched the honour of Licciardi's son
Giovanni, who was in jail at the time, informants have told the
Italian police force.
