A 38-year-old Italian man on Wednesday
confessed to killing his ex girlfriend in Frosinone between Rome
and Naples on Tuesday.
Pietro Ialongo told police he had strangled 36-year-old Romina
De Cesare and then finished her off with some stab wounds.
He then tried to kill himself.
Police found a note saying "I didn't want to kill her, I love
her".
An autopsy has been ordered.
