The search for two missing
climbers, Italian Daniele Nardi and Briton Tom Ballard, on
Himalayan peak Nanga Parbat is resuming on Monday, the Italian
Ambassador to Pakistan Stefano Pontecorvo said via Twitter.
The pair, who were attempting a rare winter ascent of the
world's ninth highest peak, were last heard from over a week ago
at Camp 4.
The search had been held up due to the weather and other
problems.
Pontecorvo said special drones that can fly at high altitude
will be used to search for the mountaineers with the held of a
team of led by Basque climber Alex Txikon.
Two Pakistani military helicopters took off Monday with the
team on board.
Nardi is from Sezze, near Latina, south of Rome.
