MFE-Mediaset posted consolidated net
revenues of 1.86 billion euro in the first nine months of 2023,
substantially stable compared to 1.9 billion euro in the same
period in 2022, the telecommunications group said in a statement
on Thursday.
Earnings Before Interest and Taxes (EBIT) stood at 98.3 million
euro, up slightly from 97.6 million euro in the first nine
months of 2022.
Group net profit came in at 71 million euro, compared to 78.5
million euro last year.
In the statement the group controlled by the family of late
Italian ex premier and media mogul Silvio Berlusconi said this
figure is "highly positive" taking into account "the
considerable decrease in the pro-rata contribution generated
overall by the equity investment in ProsiebenSat1 Media SE,
partly as a result of the change in consolidation method; the
increase in financial expenses due to higher underlying interest
rates, and the increase in the share in the Group's Spanish
operations".
Debt as at September 30, 2023 remained stable at 877.5 million
euro compared to 873.3 million euro at year end 2022, despite
investments in development in Spain and Germany and shareholder
remuneration for the distribution of MFE dividends in July.
MFE-Mediaset said its performance in the first nine months of
2023 had "exceeded expectations" and confirmed its forecasts for
year-end.
