The Italian government does not agree
with Israel's recent proposals although there was a design
behind Hamas's inhuman attacks and its cruelty to the hostages,
Premier Giorgia Meloni said in question time in the House
Wednesday.
"We did not agree with several choices and we do not agree with
the recent proposals of the Israeli government and we did not
fail to tell our interlocutors, aware as we are that it was not
Israel that started the hostilities and that there was a plan
behind the inhuman attacks by Hamas and the cruelty directed at
the hostages", said Meloni, at the Prime Minister's question
time in the Chamber of Deputies, responding to Green-Left
Allliance (AVS) MP Angelo Bonelli.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu must respected
international law, she further said, adding that Italy would not
recall its ambassador to Israel.
