Premier Giorgia Meloni on Tuesday
congratulated Friedrich Merz on his election as German
Chancellor saying Italo-German collaboration was fundamental for
the current challenges.
"Congratulations to Friedrich Merz for his election as German
Federal Chancellor" said Meloni, adding that "collaboration
between Italy and Germany is essential to address the challenges
that characterize the current international context".
"I am certain - she stated - that together we will be able to
achieve important results not only at a bilateral level but also
at the EU, G7 and NATO level and on the main international
dossiers".
