Italy intends to reach 2% of GDP for military spending, Premier Giorgia Meloni said at the start of White House talks with United States President Donald Trump Thursday.
    "Italy intends to reach the 2% threshold", she said.
    Trump has asked NATO countries to up spending to at least 2% of GDP.
