Italy's top court has restored the
gay-friendly 'parents' tag to Italian ID cards replacing
'father' and 'mother' as discriminatory against same-sex
couples.
The supreme Court of Cassation said the use of the terms father
and mother was "discriminatory against couples of the same sex".
It rejected an appeal from the interior ministry.
