The European Union will be able to
replace US soldiers with its own forces as Washington pulls
10,000 troops from Europe, Defence Minister Guido Crosetto said
Tuesday.
"I think that Europe will be able to easily replace these people
with European contingents", said Crosetto, commenting on the
Pentagon's idea of ;;withdrawing 10,000 soldiers in Europe.
"That of the American government," Crosetto underlined on the
sidelines of a visit aboard the Amerigo Vespucci navy training
tall ship in the Albanian port of Durres, ""was a decision
already announced by the Biden administration, but it is not
unexpected, it is something we have been preparing for a long
time, now we will need to understand with what timing it will be
made".
