A 14-year-old girl was allegedly assaulted by a 14-year-old boy in a railway station bathroom near Lecce in Puglia while her boyfriend, who had asked her to meet him at the station, was listening to the assault in an adjacent room, last July 28, sources said after police served the alleged perp with an arrest warrant Wednesday.
He has been charged with aggravated sexual violence.
The boy, who has just turned 15, has been arrested after nine months of investigation and has been placed in a youth home while police are now looking at the boyfriend's position, legal sources said.
The alleged rape was stopped, police said, by the arrival of the girl's mother who returned to the station after taking her daughter there because she was worried that she wasn't answering her phone.
