Filippo Turetta has understood his
life sentence for murdering his ex girlfriend Giulia Cecchettin,
his lawyer told ANSA after the verdict Tuesday.
Turetta "understood the sentence, I explained it to him, he is
not stunned. He is aware, within the limits of the possible
obviously," said Giovanni Caruso.
Turetta, 23, stabbed Cecchettin 75 times on November 11, 2023 in
a murder that shone a spotlight on Italy's grim issue with
femicide.
