Iconic Italian fashion designer
Giorgio Armani, 90, has held a star-studded event at the Park
Avenue Armory to present his brand's spring 2025 collection in
the first show not held in Milan in 49 years to celebrate the
inauguration of the Armani Building on Madison Avenue.
"I am moved and happy - I am back at a special time", explained
the designer this week.
"I have just turned 90 and my company is about to turn 50", said
Armani, who decorated the space to look like a chic train
station to celebrate a city that at the end of the 1970s
welcomed him with open arms, in a departure from his shows at
the Armani Theatre in Milan.
The collection - whose release was timed around the opening of
Armani's new home at 760 Madison Avenue - celebrated the great
themes of Armani's aesthetic, from 1930s glamour with oriental
influences, to a pure and effortless idea of elegance in a
palette of grey, beige, bronze and light blue.
Stars who attended the event included Orlando Bloom, Pamela
Anderson, Brie Larson, Brooke Shields, Brett Goldstein, Liv
Schriver, James Morton, Michael Gandolfini, Darren Starr, Laura
Pausini, Paola Cortellesi and Romana Maggiore Vergano.
