Mario Balotelli has been up to his
fireworks trick again by letting off a firecracker in the locker
room of his current club Adana Demirspor of Turkey, 13 years
after the mercurial striker ignited a banger at home and caused
a fire while he was at home in his Manchester City days.
In 2011 then Italy striker Balotelli had to make a public
apology after the British tabloids published photos of the
incident, and he then became a face of a firework safety
campaign aimed at young people.
Balotelli, 33, won the treble at Inter in 2010 before joining
his old coach Roberto Mancini at City, and gpoing on to play for
AC Milan and LIverpool before turning out for Nice, Marseille,
Monza, Brescia and Sion ahead of his move to his current Super
Lig club.
He played 36 times for the Azzurri between 2010 and 2018, and
scored 14 goals for his country including a memorable brace
against Germany in the 2012 European championship semi-final.
