Gigi Riva's former Cagliari and Italy
strike partner Roberto Boninsegna said after the Italy legend's
death from a heart attack at 79 Monday that the years playing
with him "were beautiful years, because that was a Cagliari that
was being born.
"Not having a car, we lived together. Breakfast, lunch and
dinner: everything. He rushed all over the place. We were great
friends and we were still, even though we heard from each other
a bit less.
"Then when it cam down to a choice, he refused Juve, but I
accepted Inter because I'd been a fan since I was a kid. For Him
Srdinia was everything".
