Some 84% of Italians are frightened by
the "crazy" weather while 73.4% fear a very serious economic and
social crisis with widespread poverty and violence, the 57th
annual report from think tank CENSIS said Friday.
According to 73% of respondents to the survey, Italy will not be
able to cope with the arrival of millions of people fleeing wars
or as a result of climate change, while 53% are afraid that the
public debt will cause the State's financial collapse.
Almost six out of ten Italians fear a world war in which we
could be involved, while 59.2% believe that Italy will not be
able to protect itself from possible jihadist terrorist attacks.
In 2040 only one in four couples will have children, it added.
