Italy's flood czar Francesco
Figliuolo said Thursday the government is working hard to make
good on Premier Giorgia Meloni's pledge to provide 100%
reimbursement for the victims of the catastrophic floods that
hit Emilia-Romagna earlier this year.
"Together with the Region, we are drafting three ordinances, one
for implementers, one for families, and one for businesses,"
said the commissioner for post-flood reconstruction after a
meeting in the Emilia-Romagna Regional Government offices with
social partners (trade unions and employers).
"We want to define well the damages to be reimbursed, to arrive
at reimbursements up to 100% as Premier Meloni said".
The army general added: "There is a request for more resources
for families and businesses.
When we have put a firm perimeter around the damage, we will act as quickly as possible".
