The whole of Italy is behind Rome's
bid to host Expo 2030, Premier Giorgia Meloni said on Tuesday at
the Bureau International des expositions (BIE) in Paris.
Leading the Italian delegation, Meloni said "various
institutional levels" were present to support Rome's candidacy.
2030 is a "very special, strategic year," she added, saying that
"it would be a good signal to have the Expo return to Rome in
that year".
Also promoting Rome's bid was Mayor Robero Gualtieri.
