Inter took a big step towards
reaching the Champions League semi-finals when they beat Benfica
2-0 in Lisbon the first leg of their last-eight tie on Tuesday,
but coach Simone Inzaghi has stressed that there is a long way
to go before the job is done.
Inter prevailed thanks to Nicolo Barella's header and Romelu
Lukaku's late penalty.
If they reach the last four, Inter will meet the winner of the
semi between Serie A leaders Napoli and Italian champions AC
Milan, with the first leg taking place at San Siro later on
Wednesday.
"The lads produced a fantastic performance," Inzaghi said.
"We were determined and united against a strong side in a very
noisy atmosphere.
"I'm very happy, but that was just the first leg against a team
that can compete at any ground.
"We hold the advantage, but it's not over yet.
"We can take delight in a great evening, but we've only played
the first 90 minutes and will have to try and replicate that
performance in Milan".
