Costa Rica goalie Keylor Navas has
been linked to a move from Paris Saint-Germain to Napoli.
The 35-year-old former Real Madrid keeper is reportedly keen to
leave PSG after new the French club's coach Christophe Galtier,
the former Nice and Lille boss, reportedly said he would make
Italy and ex-AC Milan shotstopper Gigio Donnarumma the first
choice between the sticks.
Last season, his first in the French capital after a
high-profile and controversial move from Milan, the Azzurro
often played second fiddle to Navas under former PSG boss
Mauricio Pochettino, who was sacked after failing to bring the
Parisians European glory.
Napoli sources said Wednesday the southern Italian club,
currently on top of Serie A on goal difference after notching
nine strikes in their first two Serie A matches, was
intensifying its efforts to secure Navas's services in place of
Donnarumma's Italy understudy Alex Meret.
They said the veteran Costa Rican could have a medical in Naples
later this week.
But Napoli are also considering Chelsea's Spain goalkeeper Kepa,
the sources said.
The Partenopei were said to have a channel open with Stamford
Bridge in the event of the Navas talks falling through.
