Relegation-threatened Cagliari said
they have sacked coach Walter Mazzarri with just three games to
go until the end of the season.
The Sardinian side are two points ahead of third-bottom
Salernitana after losing 2-1 at home to Hellas Verona on
Saturday.
Salernitana spend most of the season at the bottom of the table
but they are looking to pull off a remarkable escape after a
huge improvement in form since Davide Nicola replaced Stefano
Colantuono as their coach in February.
Cagliari are expected to bring in youth team coach Alessandro
Agostini to take charge until the end of the season.
Forner Napoli boss Mazzarri is Serie A's 10th change of coach
this season and Cagliari's second.
He was called in to replace Leonardo Semplici after a poor start
to the season.
