The Milan bourse rebounded Friday
after plunging almost 5% on Russia's invasion of Ukraine
Thursday.
By midday it was up 1.1% with the FTSE-Mib rising to 25,103
points.
Utilities were among the leading stocks after a fall in gas
prices.
These included Hera (+3.2%), A2a (+3.5%), Italgas (+3.6%), and
Snam (+2.6%).
Enel was suspended from trading for excessive rises but posted a
theoretical gain of 5.6%.
Elsewhere in Europe investors were comforted by anti-Russian
sanctions being less severe than feared, at least so far, and
there were widespread gains: Frankfurt (+1.27%), Paris (+0.78%),
London (+1.02%) and Madrid (+0.54%)
