La 7 news editor Enrico Mentana has received a letter containing threats and a swastika over allegedly anti-government coverage by the independent TV broadcaster.
"You bias that makes your mouth slather against those elected
by the people is nauseating," said the letter.
As well as Mentana, it also threatened retribution for
allegedly anti-government coverage against La 7 owner Urbano
Cairo and journalists and commentators including Lilli Gruber,
Francesca Fanuele, Giovanni Floris, Corrado Formigli, Massimo
Giannini and Marco Damilano.
The government is made up of the anti-establishment 5-Star
Movement (M5S) and the anti-migrant Euroskeptic League party,
both regarded as populist forces.
