Two former and one current
executive of Banca Etruria were acquitted Wednesday of hindering
bank oversight. They are former president Giuseppe Fornasari,
former director-general Luca Bronchi and central director Davide
Canestri. A preliminary hearings judge in Arezzo issued the
acquittals. Banca Etruris is one of four banks whose recent
rescue left investors holding worthless bonds. The others are
Banche Marche, CariChieti and CariFe.
