RCS MediaGroup held its first shareholders' meeting with new president and CEO Urbano Cairo at the helm on Monday, and elected a new enlarged board of directors, going to 11 members from the previous nine.
Elected to the board were: Gaetano Micciché, Marco
Pompignoli, Stefano Simontacchi, Stefania Petruccioli, Maria
Capparelli, and Alessandra Dalmonte, with minority shareholders
Diego Della Valle, Marco Tronchetti Provera, Carlo Cimbri and
Veronica Gava.
Cairo told shareholders the company will focus on three
"directives" to relaunch itself: personnel motivation, attention
to costs and newspaper marketing.
RCS is the publisher of top Italian dailies Corriere della
Sera and La Gazzetta dello Sport.
