Germany should fear Italy after the Azzurri's 2-0 win over reigning European champions Spain, Italian Soccer Federation (FIGC) Chief Carlo Tavecchio said Tuesday.
Antonio Conte's men face the world champions in a Euro 2016 quarterfinal Saturday night.
"Germany should be afraid of this Italy. They too will have seen a great match yesterday, (with Italy) not succumbing to the Spanish 'tiki taka'," said Tavecchio.
"Conte will study all the situations and we will take the field with the usual will to win," said the FIGC chief, adding "we won with our style of play".
Italy out-ran and out-tackled Spain Monday, UEFA said Tuesday.
The Azzurri ran a total of 117.8 k, against Spain's 110 and recovered 50 balls against the Spaniards' 42.
Emanuele Giaccherini was the top runner with a total of 12.97 km while Marco Parolo ran 11.89 km. Mattia De Sciglio, Graziano Pellè and Giorgio Chiellini - the two goalscorers - also ran more than 11 km.
