Rome's traditional Labour day concert in Piazza San Giovanni on May 1 will recall Prince, singer-songwriter Gianmaria Testa and poet and playwright Remo Remotti, presenter Luca Barbarossa, one of Italy's top singer-songwriters, said Wednesday.
There won't be any live links to other may Day concerts "but
I will salute Taranto, who are my brothers," said Barbarossa,
who is debuting as host this year along with Mariolina Simone.
As always, the music will reflect the importance for the
country of everyone's work, Barbarossa said.
The line-up includes Skunk Anansie, Max Gazzè, Vinicio
Capossela with Calexico, Marlene Kuntz and Tiromancino.
"The line-up is closed, but if Sting were to call..." joked
Barbarossa.
