Legendary former Pink Floyd
guitarist David Gilmour is to play in the ancient Roman city of
Pompeii 45 years after Pink Floyd filmed a famous concert there,
Culture Minister Dario Franceschini said Wednesday.
"Deal reached. After 45 years David #Gilmour will come back
to play in #Pompeii on July 7 and 8 #PinkFloyd #LiveAtPompeii",
he tweeted.
Pink Floyd played in Pompeii's amphitheatre over four days
in October 1971.
