Richard Linklater's
Boyhood and Wes Anderson's The Grand Budapest Hotel brought home
trophies at Sunday's 2015 Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles,
both winning best picture at 72n edition of the ceremony that
traditionally kicks off the awards season.
Linklater also took home the best director award for his
picture, shot over 12 years as its male protagonist grew from a
child into a young man.
Patricia Arquette won an award for best supporting actress,
in the family drama as seen through the eyes of Mason, played by
Ellar Coltrane over the years.
Birdman, about a washed-up actor once famous for playing
superheroes, netted a best screenplay award for director
Alejandro González Inárritu, while Michael Keaton took home the
best actor award.
Julianne Moore won best actress for her role in Still Alice
and Eddie Redmayne took home the best actor award for his role
as physicist Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything..
