Ex foreign minister, former European
commissioner and +Europa leader Emma Bonino said of the late
longtime European Commission president Jacques Delors after his
death at 98 Wednesday that he "marked an extraordinary season of
European construction combining vision and method."
She said "as president of the European Commission he succeeded
in reawakening the European conscience by relaunching
integration as a historic project.
"Now we must continue to work on our common dream., never come
true, that of a federal Europe".
