On the occasion of his first visit to Doha, the President of the Chamber of Deputies Lorenzo Fontana met this morning with Hassan bin Abdulla Al-Ghanim, Speaker of the Shura Council, Qatar's consultative assembly.
This was the first visit of a Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies to Qatar.
President Fontana's visit, which took place with the assistance of the Italian Embassy in Doha, highlights the importance of parliamentary diplomacy in contributing to peace and prosperity and to further strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation that unite Italy and Qatar.
