Ambassador Antonello De Riu met today with Prime Minister Albin Kurti for a farewell meeting, in view of the imminent end of his mandate as Italian Ambassador to Kosovo.
During the meeting," the Embassy reported in a note, "the great commitment of the Italian Embassy in Pristina in supporting the cultural sector through high-profile events and large public participation, and in strengthening the tourism and agriculture sectors through the implementation of development cooperation projects, was emphasised. The Prime Minister then thanked Italy for its fundamental contribution, through the Kfor mission, in maintaining the security of the country.
Both stressed the deep friendship between Italy and Kosovo, wishing further consolidation of their cooperation in the future. The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss the current political situation, in which the Prime Minister is engaged in an attempt to form a coalition government that has the necessary majority to cope with a third term.
