The Italy Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka
and the Pasona Group have signed an agreement for the production
of what is set to be a rich cultural program of music and
performing arts throughout the duration of Expo 2025 Osaka.
The Japanese company, a leader in the business of solutions for
personnel and human resources, is already involved in the
promotion of opera, musicals, classical music and other forms of
art and culture, with the aim of enhancing the region of Awaji
Island, in the Prefecture of Hyogo, and thanks to the new
collaboration it will coordinate the cultural and musical
performances that will animate the program every day inside the
theater of the Italy Pavilion, taking care of the planning and
production of musical and performing events during the 184 days
of the Expo.
The partnership also aims to spread Italian culture and foster
connections between artists and cultural institutions of the two
countries, creating performance opportunities throughout the
Kansai region, with a focus on Awaji Island.
"We have set ourselves a fairly difficult challenge, through our
theater, which is a bit of a trademark of our pavilion,"
explains to ANSA the Commissioner General for Italy at Expo 2025
Osaka, Ambassador Mario Vattani.
"Managing to bring performances to Japan every day: from music
to dance, to multiple meetings with artists and musicians.
Animating our pavilion with human resources in the true sense of
the word, that talent, that commitment that is a bit of an
almost Renaissance symbol of what we bring to Expo Osaka."
A key element of the cultural program will be the celebration of
Italian Opera, recognized as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of
Humanity by UNESCO, as a testimony to the extraordinary legacy
of Italian artistic traditions.
In this regard, the presentation event was attended by soprano
Yasko Fujii, selected as one of the Ambassadors of the Italy
Pavilion at Expo 2025, who performed "La vergine degli angeli"
from "La forza del destino" by Giuseppe Verdi, and an adaptation
of "Nel blu, dipinto di blu" by Domenico Modugno.
In addition, the live performances of the Italy Pavilion will
also be enriched by the presence of the Holy See, hosted inside
the Italy Pavilion for the first time in the history of Expo.
This historic debut will lead to the creation of a series of
concerts with orchestras and choirs within sacred music events,
enriching the program with numerous initiatives co-produced with
the Holy See and the Japanese dioceses.
Pasona Group will also have its own Pavilion at Expo 2025,
called "PASONA NATUREVERSE, where the model of a 'Wellbeing
Society' will be proposed, focused on physical, mental and
social health.
"It is important to have serenity every day to nourish your
mind," reiterated Yasuyuki Nambu, President of Pasona Group.
"Through this partnership, we will bring the extraordinary
Italian culture - including music and art - to as many people as
possible, creating a society that promotes well-being and
personal growth."
